I sit in the boat in stillness, His waves usher in currents of grace. I don’t know what the future holds. I don’t know what's next, but I trust the great sailor. He’s done this before, long before me. Years before. Experience is His name. He knows the beginning to end in full detail. I can only attest from the past. So, I look to His compass, not mine, because mine is outdated. His compass is constantly in season aware of all that was and is to come.
Just like one trusts the pilot on the plane. I know that wherever we go on this journey, I will sit still and buckle my seat belt and honor you. I revere you, Lord. You are trustworthy. Faithful throughout the ages. Your people sing your praises now and forevermore. You have the great map of life in your eyes. You see and scan the earth to and fro. You know.
I trust you.
I trust you.
I trust you.
I will keep saying this until my heart believes. I will shake off the doubt like mud on my tennis shoes. Believing, the great sailor will draw me into eternity. The journey I don't yet understand, the calling I'm not sure, but I will wait in the passenger seat.
I will sit along the ride onboard and be still.
I don't know the people I will come across in the other boats. I don’t know the turbulence or strong winds that may come. I don’t know the obstacles ahead. But I trust the great sailor of my life. The sailor making sails. He goes before. He speaks through me and utterances I don’t understand, He gets. He has the map to my future.
For He knows.
He knows.
He knows.
O heart trust that He knows. Yahweh knows.
And when the great sailor tells me to get up and walk on water
I pray my obedience and submission are evident in my steps afloat.
I walk on water trusting ABBA. Not looking behind, but looking ahead. HE got me!
